@Paco Díaz: 50% of the reasoning behind the upgrade was the hot shoe, which supports an accurate accessory viewfinder...somewhat like a rangefinder camera.

@Robert: ROFL, those were the days. I once had identical Nikon F's, chrome body loaded with chrome, and black body with tri-x. Going digital saved 50% percent...right : ]

Nice - I've had my eye on the LX3 as a compact alternative. Next time I travel somewhere where I don't wish to bring an SLR, I may snap one up.
