@JamesC: thx! Only got the one horribly exposed shot, taken out the truck window while stopped in the middle of the road. Lightroom did a fair job of replicating what it felt like. I will have to get back there and take a proper shot. The bones were too good to pass up.

Beautiful photograph! I really like the shallow depth of the foreground as it get the eye wanting to race down that road, but also stops you dead in your tracks as it's rather a bit on the haunted side. Excellent!

Re, "I will have to get back there and take a proper shot", a nice thing about local photography is that you can think about it, return and catch a different light. A nice thing about destination photography is that you are on vacation.

@twodot: I would be more accurate in saying "finding a proper place to park" : ] The interest here would be the line of the farm road against the light.
