crooked porch

This was a nice log cabin until the siding salesman stopped by.

I have decided to add a new piece of camera equipment for 09...a mountain bike to ride along these country lanes. I easily passed up a dozen shots today for lack of a place to park...it happens often. Cardio and photography couldn't be all bad, slow down and see.

Cardio and photography is a good combination. Don't forget to include a helmet though ;)

Strong shot; the place looks alright from this distance. I agree about the car -- I always walk wherever I go for photography. Of course that's easier in a country where the public transportation will get you to where you want to start your walk . . . Anyway, I applaud, both the photograph and the resolution.

a mountain bike would be great! that's one of the things i love about my folding bike: i just take it with me on the train, wherever, and then if we pass something interesting i can just go out and backtrack a little bit. i'm quite happy that you returned and took this shot, though: really nice.

This series of yours just gets better and better. Bicycling is a great way to find photos as your are so much more a part of your surroundings...and it's great exercise too.

@Suzanne: thx! This represents a different subject material for me. Heretofore I stop in the middle of the road, squeeze off a few frames, then speed away. These narrow lanes usually have ditches on both sides. There's not much traffic, but should you meet another vehicle...somebody is ah backing up : ]
