forever gone...

With the cold nights, I've been going through my crummy scans from 2000 under the notion of re-shooting a few favorites with the 5D. I drove out to this site only to discover that the old tobacco barn had been replaced with a shiny new horse barn, and the foreground trees and hedgerows were completely cleared out. Rats.

it is just amazing how things can change in the course of a little bit of time - I had been taking photos of the same old run-down barn for seven years, as I was driving on my way to the cottage, and this summer when I drove past the spot where it had been, there was nothing but a pile of hay... the only good thing is, I now have a photo memory journey of the last seven years of the barn's life... great shot!
