...filthy

Amazing how filthy things get while stored inside a china cabinet...makes you wonder about what you're breathing.

Today I realized that technology has taken the fun out of slamming the phone down.

@Paco Díaz: thx! excuse my Spanish : ] The glasses were dirty, even when kept inside a cabinet. The second part, was I saw someone slam down a cell phone, a form of disgust that has become both meaningless and expensive.

I love the simplicity of this shot - and you are right about slamming the phone down, just not the same with a cell phone :)

Thats a funny comment about the 'slamming a phone down'. Perhaps the digital way is to lob the phone across the room.

Anyway, good shot, thats difficult stuff to light well, but this certainly is an accomplished shot indeed.

Ha! Yes, slamming down the phone just isn't want it used to me ;)
This is a great shot Jerry...the light and detail. The detail scares me, maybe best to hold ones breath.

I know exactly what you mean! During our move the most filthy stuff we found had been sitting on a shelf for years. ...and yes, hitting the "end" button doesn't compare to slamming down that receiver hard enough to get that out of the phone.

it's a good "clean" shot though. (and i agree about the phone. i'm a generally calm guy. but i once broke a receiver slamming it down so hard. it was very satisfying. no cell equivalent for that...)

Good shot with the dark background. I think you're supposed to fill those with something distilled so you don't notice the dust. :-)

@Steve Rice: thx! I was going to use them for sorbet : ] While they were out...may as well take a few frames...it beat going out in cold for a current image.
