JamesC from portland, United Statesmoody, sharp, smooth and pensive for me. 17 Mar 2009 5:03am @JamesC: thx! heavily overcast yesterday morning. Didier DE ZAN from somewhere, FranceSpring is coming nature wake up - Beautiful photograph and treatment 17 Mar 2009 5:41am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesExcellent macro...very moody. 17 Mar 2009 5:52am @Virgil: Spring today! Probably have to mow next week... dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesGreat DoF! I really like the simple composition of this. 17 Mar 2009 1:23pm Ken from Olive Branch, United Statesi dig the macro jerry....your plant growth is much further along than mine....forsythia is only showing green here i like the idea of a spring/early summer shoot out 17 Mar 2009 6:46pm Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomSounds like a man with a plan . . preparation is everything. 17 Mar 2009 6:51pm @Ronnie 2¢: thx! I laugh at my plans, but being familiar with the equipment is of some value. Chris Parr from Jefferson City, United StatesThese are tricky shots (for me at least). I can never get the focus just right. Well done, and the dof is perfect. 17 Mar 2009 7:00pm @Chris Parr: thx! I bracket the focus, what I see to be correct seldom is, so I shoot one a touch either way. In this instance the focus was on the backside of front leaf to see how the OOF areas would be rendered...sharper than I had hoped. Ordered a focusing rail, we'll see how that works. @grant: thx! lots of frames to shoot before I learn this lense. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomA lovely lens you got there. I have a 50mm macro, but really want something a bit longer to get the DOF your getting here. 17 Mar 2009 11:09pm @Richard_Irwin: thx! the plane of focus is very shallow with this lense. |
