Didier DE ZAN from somewhere, FranceVery beautiful I like the light only on the leaves 3 Apr 2009 5:12am dan from Paris, FrancePromise of a future fruit. The nature is reborn and it is beautiful ! 3 Apr 2009 7:00am @dan: thx! the notion is to shoot each phase of this specific branch. Chris Parr from Jefferson City, United StatesI really like the dark tones you've been using in this series. They work really well. 3 Apr 2009 12:07pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesBeautiful light. It looks like the light is dancing on the edges. 3 Apr 2009 1:05pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesExquisitely spotted and processed. Sheer simplicity at its best. 3 Apr 2009 1:47pm @Uday: thanks for the visit. best...jerry Jed from Norwood, United StatesThis is a beautiful image. I was wondering, while I contemplated its beauty if it might be helped by making better use of the negative space, that is to say, move the branch down to, say, the bottom third of the frame and allow the upper two thirds to remain empty. The sharpness and the color of the awakening bud, the symbolism of spring, the awakening, the re-awakening would go so well with the selective focus you so effectively used. My attempt at such a use of negative space can be seen here. 3 Apr 2009 4:43pm @Jed: Agreed...shot it too damn tight [a tendency of mine, with this lense in particular.] It's behind the house so I can easily re-shoot it wider. I liked the upward turn of the branch, just didn't give it room to breathe top right. best...jerry Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomA strong sense of expectation in this . . love the gathering drama feeling. 3 Apr 2009 7:43pm mike chase from santa rosa, United Statesthis is a wonderful image. yes, as Jed suggests it could have been shot differently, but i feel this image is perfect just the way it is. jim 3 Apr 2009 9:02pm Ken from Olive Branch, United Statescool image jerry....i dig the negative space.....just got my 100 macro, still feeling my way around 4 Apr 2009 2:04am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThis is such a fantastic image Jerry!
