Bill from Los Altos, United StatesThis, perhaps, is one of the best dogwood shots I have ever seen rendered. very effective, and broad tones in the image. Outstanding work. Each of the petals point to a corner, and there is enough space to breath - and keeping the new growth of leaves adds texture and interest. Very compelling. 18 Apr 2009 5:28am @Bill: Thanks! Bill. I slipped out after dinner. Setup "in" the tree, shooting outward with a holly for a background. There was 5 minutes of this light. One I will print on Friday. JamesC from portland, United StatesLovely, admire the details and softness of the petals. twittering will just be camera clicks for me. 18 Apr 2009 5:35am @JamesC: Thanks! I thought twitter and camera shake were synonymous...no? Not only the composition, so outstanding, but also the detail of the leaves and petals, the kind of light on them and the "relief" (I'm not sure of the word): the look like they go out of the photo :) 18 Apr 2009 7:04am @Paco Díaz: Thanks! This was the low angle of evening sun with the flower in backlight. I only shot the one frame as there was only one vantage point between the limbs, and the magic light was soon gone. GJC from Kyoto (京都), JapanExtraordinary. I'll add to the fine, insightful comments above that the leaves, too, are simply marvelous in their dignity. The entire image sings. 18 Apr 2009 7:57am hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongWhat an amazing capture of the delicate light and details!!!!!
