apple - 2 [blossoms]Posted by ordinaryimages (Kentucky Bluegrass, United States) on 22 April 2009 in Plant & Nature. At Zing you will find a wonderful just stepped from the shower freshness. Backed off this one to add more negative space. By now the rain has knocked off all the blossoms...next shot apples in June. There is a film noir quality here, the blossoms in the shadows and surely something is lurking just around the corner. 22 Apr 2009 12:33pm Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalVery nice detail, the darkness make the flower emerge like in a dream. 22 Apr 2009 12:48pm Mariana from waterloo, CanadaWonderful image. Perfect tonal range, light is gorgeous ! 22 Apr 2009 2:16pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesYour commentary makes me sad. The negative space is so appropriate to the end of the blossoms. Here they are in full swing. Blossoms come and go so fast in Spring; there is simply not enough time to shoot everything that I want to capture. Because of that when I go out into the woods, I probably take 20 times as many photographs of wild flowers as I otherwise would; they just might be gone on the next walk. The flowers of Spring and the leaf color of Fall are way, way too brief. One of the wonderful gifts of photography is being able to relive those incredible seasons through the long summers and winters. A real plus of digital is that we can keep the memories both in color and in monochrome, each version with it's special gifts. 22 Apr 2009 3:51pm @john4jack: The fleeting moments of Spring, but equally true for everything light falls on. Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesAh, that bokeh is so good, and the focus is so crisp! 22 Apr 2009 4:02pm @Viewfinder: Thanks! I liked the gesture of the background. [Posting a shot for you later this week] grant from kansas city, United Statesyes, i like the twig emerging from the top of the frame and curving into it. 22 Apr 2009 7:45pm @Drey: Thanks! bokeh...wokeh Diane Schuller from Hythe, Canadaso well done -- love the light and the simplicity 22 Apr 2009 10:38pm Fishit from Tealtown, United StatesI will have my tripod out tomorrow evening, all most there, here ... best dennis 23 Apr 2009 12:27am @Fishit: it's supposed to be dogilious for the next few days! jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesLike the fact that you kept the composition simple and left a lot of space for the blossom to hang in. Works nicely. 23 Apr 2009 12:34am @jeff (aka dogilicious): Thanks! I'm getting the hang of it, still could use a tad more space. @Ken: Thanks! Macintosh of course : ] @amy: Thanks Amy!
