late peony

At one time I subscribed to 27 magazines and two newspapers, read prolifically from the public library, and frequently purchased hard bound books. Then came the Internet, and I have pared my subscriptions to B&W Magazine and The New Yorker, view most of my news online, and purchase the occasional reference manual...usually from Amazon.

Today I received the B&W Special Issue of Award winning Portfolios. I quickly thumbed through looking for the pearls, but upon reflection came away with the notion that "I see equally as good every day on Aminus3". While I'm not severing my last two ties to the analog print world for now—there is tactile pleasure in holding the printed front-lit page, reading carefully researched journalism or imaginative fiction—my preference has become the current work of my peers and making a small daily contribution.
