WorldWide Photo Walk - Danville KY

There were five WorldWide Photo Walk locations in Kentucky. I drove to Danville KY after noting that the group leader had the wisdom to set 5-7pm for better light. Taking only the 5D w/ 50mm and a handful of business cards, I arrived early to scout the suggested route, identifying where one might duck in and out of the group yet maintain contact. Group leader Ken Pflug had it wired with a perfect choice of route and ending spot. Eventually I broke free of the slow moving pack, completing the entire route while chatting with locals along the way, and once again proving that...I work alone : ]

One of those clear crisp shots of yours, enhanced by the wonderful reflection in the window. I notice your subject noticed he was being photographed. I always wonder if you have to have people sign release slips as you proceed along the route. This is a concern that inhibits my freedom to shoot photos in which there are folks who don't know me (Just thinking out loud.... :-). Very glad to see these shots.

@Dulcie: In the public space is the currently exempt.

Working alone is the best way of doing, althought sometimes good company helps :)
Next time I hope we have notice in advance of the WWPW here in Spain!

I also do better to shoot alone. I love meet ups and such too but I find that I spend more time chatting than shooting. I was on a photowalk in NJ just a couple of towns over from me and while I had a lot of fun and met some great people, I found that I spent more time talking and answering questions than actually shooting. We also had a not so great time schedule with the light still being too harsh and difficult to deal with. It was still great fun and I will likely do it again.

This guy seems a little irritated, or maybe just surprised by your presence...lol
